Welcome to North Idaho Water Polo

Much like the Narwhal, water polo in North Idaho isn’t a myth! We have a very successful and thriving water polo club that has been practicing at the Coeur d’Alene Salvation Army Kroc Center for over 15 years. We offer quality coaching, excellent facilities, competitive play, and a passion for the sport with levels for players ages 7 to 99!

We have both High School men’s and women’s teams that compete against various squads in Idaho, including Boise, Twin Falls, Rigby and others during our High School season that runs from November to February. Our high school club has won the Idaho State Championship club for 13 years running! After the high school season, we continue to compete in various other tournaments, including USAWP tournaments in Oregon and Washington. We also compete in the annual National Junior Olympic Water Polo Championships in Dallas, TX, where our high school girl’s and boy’s teams hold their own in the largest water polo tournament in the US – quite an accomplishment for a small town in North Idaho! We also have a growing Master’s program, which provides an opportunity for players 18+ to continue their passion for the sport.

We also have a fantastic Development program for kids ages 11-14 and a Junior program for ages 7-10. You can sign up for the classes on our Registration page. If you have questions, feel free to email Coach Mark Collingham at northidahowaterpolo@gmail.com.

All practices take place at The Kroc Center in Coeur d’Alene in their indoor 25m x 25yd deep water competition pool.

If you are new to water polo and aren’t sure what to expect, or even if you’re an old pro, here’s a glimpse of some action from our high school teams to GET YOU PUMPED!
